Job Title: Electrical Contracts Manager
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + benefits
Location: Deeside, Wales
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
About the Company
Our client is an established M&E contractor in the North-West, specialising in commercial and industrial installations across sectors including healthcare, education, commercial fit-outs, and public sector projects.
They’ve built their name over 20+ years on trust, reliability, and solid delivery. Not flashy. Not over-complicated. Just consistent, high-quality work.
The kind of company where the MD still knows everyone’s name—and where clients keep coming back, not just for the best price, but for complete peace of mind.
They’re now looking for an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to help manage their growing project pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
Yes, you’ll be managing contracts—but it’s more than that. You’ll be the person who holds the thread between the estimating team, the electricians on-site, the client, and the back office.
You’ll be based from the office in Deeside, with regular site visits across the North-West. The work is a mix of reactive, planned, and project-based, and no two weeks will look the same. Your role will include:
Managing electrical projects from pre-start through to completion
Liaising with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to keep communication clear and consistent
Ensuring all works are delivered on time, on budget, and to spec
Managing site teams, supervisors, and external suppliers
Attending progress meetings and reporting back to the senior team
Taking responsibility for H&S compliance and quality standards
Supporting the estimating team with tenders and technical input
You’ll work closely with an experienced and grounded team, people who know their stuff and aren’t afraid to roll their sleeves up.
Skills & Experience Required
You’ve worked in electrical contracting before, and you know the difference between managing a spreadsheet and managing a live site. You’ll also need:
Experience delivering electrical projects in the commercial/industrial space
A strong understanding of electrical systems, drawings, and installation methods
Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and on-the-fly site chats
The ability to manage multiple projects at once without dropping the ball
SMSTS and 18th Edition (preferred)
A natural sense of ownership and pride in your work
It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being reliable, capable, and calm when things get tricky.
Benefits
You’ll be joining a team that genuinely works well together—no egos, no unnecessary red tape. Just people who want to do a good job and go home feeling like they’ve achieved something.
There’s plenty of support, but also the freedom to make decisions and get on with things. You won’t be micromanaged. You will be trusted.
The package includes a competitive salary, car allowance, pension, and other benefits—plus the chance to grow with a business that values loyalty and promotes from within.
How to Apply
If this sounds like your kind of move—and you’re ready to bring your experience to a company that actually values it—then we’d love to hear from you.
