Job Title: Electrical Project Manager
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 + car/allowance & benefits
Location: Warrington
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

About the Company

Our client is a long-standing M&E contractor delivering full building services solutions across the UK. With a growing portfolio of high-spec commercial, education, and healthcare projects, they’ve built a reputation for doing things properly — balancing technical precision with practical delivery.

This role marks a pivotal moment for the business. They’re expanding their capabilities by building a dedicated electrical division, and they need the right person to lead it.

Key Responsibilities

This is a true hybrid role. Some design, some estimating, a fair amount of client liaison, and plenty of time on-site making sure projects are running as they should. But what sets this role apart is the leadership element —you’ll be instrumental in growing and shaping a new electrical team.

Expect your week to include:

  • Estimating electrical packages and supporting project bids

  • Reviewing designs and drawings for accuracy and compliance

  • Liaising with architects, consultants, contractors, and clients

  • Conducting site visits and managing electrical works on live sites

  • Preparing reports, technical submissions, and documentation

  • Solving problems and coordinating with other project teams

  • Helping recruit, guide, and develop future team members within the division

Some projects will move fast and need quick decisions. Others will require deeper planning. You’ll need to be flexible and confident in both.

Skills & Experience Required

This role suits someone who’s ready for more. More ownership. More influence. More opportunity to lead.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • At least 8 years’ experience in electrical building services

  • A HNC or equivalent qualification in building services

  • Strong knowledge of electrical estimating and design software

  • Confidence working independently and in collaboration with others

  • Good communication and organisational skills

  • A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites when needed

You don’t need to tick every box, but you should be the type who gets stuck in, keeps things moving, and leads by example.

Benefits

You’ll be joining a close-knit business with a solid foundation and the ambition to grow. This role isn’t just a job — it’s a chance to build something lasting within an already respected company.

  • A competitive salary of £55,000 – £65,000

  • A well-rounded benefits package

  • Autonomy in how you deliver and shape your work

  • Support from experienced senior leadership

  • The opportunity to lead and grow a brand-new division from day one

If you're looking for a place where you can do your job without jumping through hoops — this could be it.
